Emergency services were called to Paradise Interchange off Darley Road at 6:30 this morning after an 83-year-old woman drove onto the track.

The car’s airbags went off after it slipped off the track, with the driver “shaken” but not seriously injured.

A crane was called in to lift the car from the track.

While city-bound O-Bahn bus services ran as usual, the outbound track to Modbury between Klemzig and Paradise Interchange was closed for several hours and scheduled bus services used roads.

But police said after 9:30am that the O-Bahn was now all clear.

It’s the second time this year a car has become stuck on the O-Bahn track.
