ABC radio breakfast still on top after star's defection

ABC Radio Adelaide’s new breakfast team has not only kept the number one spot but increased audience share in the first radio ratings survey for 2022, despite former top-rating announcer Ali Clarke leaving for rival station Mix 102.3 – which shed listeners over her first ratings period.

In early December, InDaily reporter Tom Richardson tweeted: “Every time I hear a politician on radio obligatorily use the phrase ‘and good morning to your listeners’ a little part of me dies inside.” To which Adelaide’s number one broadcaster Ali Clarke chimed in: “You and me both.”
