Sports Minister slams “tool” Kyrgios
Snoozers are losers? Leon Bignell has fired a volley at Nick Kyrgios.
The state’s Sports Minister has described troubled tennis star Nick Kyrgios as a “total tool”.
Leon Bignell’s considered contribution to the debate about the enfant terrible of Australian tennis came after Adelaide Crows captain Tex Walker set social media alight last night with a tweet reflecting on Kyrgios’s latest on-court antics, with a spate of code violations and fines edging him close to a four-week ban.
“When is this absolute Galoot going to learn?” the AFL forward wrote.
“What a dead set flog!! Just suspend the peanut!!”
Kyrgios returned serve with the observation that “I don’t even know who Tex walker (sic) is lol”, before the Crow’s former teammate Patrick Dangerfield weighed in to mediate the scrimmage.
But Bignell couldn’t resist his own take on the debate, posting on Facebook late last night: “Congratulations Tex. this snoozer needs to be reminded of what a total tool he is.”
Interestingly, the observation came just hours after Labor’s Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis was ordered to apologise for his predilection for “conversational swearing”.
