Another football chapter is being written for the family of the late Dean Bailey, the former Power and Crows assistant coach who lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.

Dean’s son Darcy Bailey, won the PowerAde Star Search award for Round Seven.

Down at Bay, meanwhile, Glenelg football manager Matthew Lokan is adding a few lines to his own playing notes with a comeback effort in the Reserves.

Lokan, who played 46 AFL matches at Collingwood and Port Adelaide and 102 SANFL games, arrived at the Bay last year after a stint in Canberra coaching North East AFL side Belconnen.

He was named 2013 NEAFL Coach of the Year.

A teacher, accredited coach and SANFL development officer, along with his AFL & SANFL experience, fits him nicely for a future role on the sidelines.

This week, however, he was prepared to show the up and comers how it’s done – check out the vision of his effort at full forward.

The talking point this week for local footy fans is the premiership table – check out who’s on top and who’s on the bottom.
