Commenting on the story: ‘Not optimal’: Commissioner’s frustration over police horse relocation

For goodness sakes, let’s get our priorities right. We need a new hospital and a centrally located facility for our mounted police.

In a city blessed with so much (under-utilised) park land, stop kowtowing to a number of self-interested parties and allow for the police to do their job. There seems to be plenty of leeway on park lands usage when private schools and big money come into it. – Rosalind Francis

I would have thought South Australia (Adelaide citizens particularly) valued the presence of the police greys and insisted they be re-stabled in the park lands.

If they’re re-stabled outside the city they will rarely be seen. This will be the beginning of the end.

London is able to stable the Household Cavalry in the centre of the city but Adelaide City Council and the park lands supporters refuse. We have horses agisted in parts of the north park lands opposite LeFevre Tce, so why not in that area? We won’t know what we’ve missed until they’re gone. – Bill Gryst

Commenting on the story: Petrol price hits $2.15 in year-high spike across metro Adelaide

“Today’s price spike was driven by marketing from fuel companies in the typical fortnightly cycle of pricing across Adelaide and stretching to Mount Barker.” That is doublespeak for gouging the consumers. – Mike Marten

After trending slowly down for months, over the last month diesel prices have shot up from $1.72 to almost $2 a litre – why is that? – John Rockcliff
