The ANZ Community Ball is an evening celebrating South Australian communities and raising funds for the local charities, according to Adele Fiene, the State General Manager SA/NT Business Banking at ANZ.

She said the charities include The Royal Flying Doctors Service, Operation Flinders, Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation, Zahra Foundation, Breakthrough for Mental Health, Zoos SA, SAHMRI and others over the past 3 events.

“The three previous ANZ Community Balls have raised a total of $921,850 and this year we are sure that we will crack $1 million to go directly to benefit local charities,” Fiene said.

“The event is designed to not only bring together the community and raise funds for charities but to also showcase the best produce and entertainment that South Australia has to offer.”

More than 600 guests from over 100 local businesses and many public and private sector leaders enjoy the night each year and will no doubt be lining up to see Kate Ceberano this year.

“The idea was born from previous State General Manager Business Banking, Brendan Rinaldi and entertainer James Morrison,” Fiene said.

“They had both been a part of Generations in Jazz in Mount Gambier and wanted to bring the concept of showcasing great local talent and entertainment along with local produce to a city setting.

“Brendan noted that ANZ was continually being asked to support local charities and this event could be the vehicle to support many charities and our corporate and commercial customers.”

She said they could not bring the event together without the support of South Australian companies such as Network 10, Duxton Group, Peter Kittle Toyota, Coopers Brewery, SkyCity, Solstice Media, Yalumba, Settler’s Gin, and Dowie Doole.

“These sponsors really make this a spectacular event!” Fiene said, adding that they still have room for more.

Fiene warned that tickets sell fast to the glamourous night that is full of amazing entertainment and spectacular South Australian food and beverages, especially since the past three have been great shows.

“Best of all is the opportunity to win some great prizes and raise substantial funds for many worthy charities,” she said.
