After a successful start to the Spring Carnival at Morphettville, South Aussies can still doll up and indulge in the amazing atmosphere of the final three race days featuring two key necessities: good company and locally made produce.

A new, lush, bespoke general admission offering trackside is Flourish, a space adjacent to the racecourse that showcases the mouth-watering selection of food and beverage offerings available.

“With our popular hospitality packages consistently selling out, we’re really excited to have created an elevated general admission experience at Flourish, open to everyone at the racetrack and we can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the carnival atmosphere,” Morphettville CEO Grant Mayer says.

“We’d encourage everyone to arrive early to secure a prime position and get the best out of an amazing day.”

As a new addition to the races, Executive Chef Steven Clark and team have created a selection of food for Flourish that emphasises local produce and, of course, local wines that can be enjoyed across all hospitality packages and around the venue.

Awarded 2020 Chef of the Year at the SA Restaurant and Catering Awards, Steven oversees Morphettville’s world-class culinary team and says the venue has built a “reputation for great events and quality food”.

The South Australian places a strong emphasis on locally sourced food and wine, and has included South Australian gins within the garden activation.

Flourish is designed specifically for racegoers and entry is included with the purchase of a general admission ticket.

There are still three race days left to experience the magic of the Morphettville Spring Carnival and Flourish.

The Victoria Derby and Golden Eagle Day is the next event to take place on Saturday, 29 October.

On the first Tuesday of November, live on-course racing takes place throughout the day before all heads turn to the big screen to watch the race that stops the nation live from Flemington.

You can celebrate the most recognisable and anticipated race in Australia at Morphettville through a number of Melbourne Cup packages. Some package options include the CC Giddy Up Club, The Stables, Diva Lounge, and the exclusive G.H. Mumm Champagne Marquee on the Champagne Lawns.

The Morphettville Spring Carnival ends with a bang on Stakes Day on Saturday, 5 November. Start your end-of-year celebrations trackside with live racing and watch the prestigious Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes on the big screen.

For the racing aficionados there’s also the inaugural TAB Finals Day on Saturday, 12 November where country and provincial winners from across the state converge at Morphettville for the final event.
