Festival Plaza presents will see this fresh, fabulous public space come alive with free daytime and evening entertainment until the end of April.

The six-week program of entertainment offers something for everyone – from families and city workers, to those keen to relax with a beer before the footy or enjoy a wine under the stars at the Arbour Bar.

During the day, visitors can relax and soak up the atmosphere under the canopy of the magnificent arbors, on the grass and on plentiful seating. Those feeling more playful will love Parlour Games, a selection of oversized family-friendly games, and the giant digital art installation Screentime.

Featuring work by local artists, Screentime encourages viewers to interact with and become a part of the artwork. With a range of interactive elements, it will keep young and old entertained as they warp, wrap and twist into the big screen.

The mesmerising Water Play is also sure to be popular with kids of all ages. This 20-metre-long water feature alternates between misting and pooling, allowing kids and adults to cool off and play safely in the water. Thoughtfully, there will be a towel service on-site for patrons’ comfort.

Visitors can also reconnect with the refurbished original artworks by Owen Broughton, Tony Rosella and Bert Flugelman and buy coffees, snacks and cold drinks from Goodie Goodie cafe.

On weekends, visitors can expect plenty of fun and surprises from roving performers as Cameo Performers serves up circus, theatre, magic and more.

The relaxed weekend vibe will continue in the afternoons with Adelaide’s best acoustic performers featuring in SA Solo Sets. Then, as the sun sets, DJs will take to the Festival Plaza stage from 6pm.

Every evening, the bespoke Arbour Bar will serve South Australia’s best local beers and wines from under the architecturally stunning arbours and overlooking the illuminated plaza water feature.

Launching this long weekend, Festival Plaza presents is sure to entice everyone to get outside and enjoy Adelaide’s balmy autumn weather during the next six weeks.
