State General Manager Small to Medium Enterprise NSW/ACT at ANZ

ANZ has announced that Adele Fiene will take on a new role as the State General Manager Small to Medium Enterprise NSW/ACT.

Fiene has been working at the ANZ for the past 20 years and previously worked as State General Manager SA/NT Business Banking and Private Bank Servicing and Support Lead, among other roles.

New board members at Access 2 Place

Non-for-profit disability community housing provider Access 2 Place has announced three new appointments to their board

Natasha Rees has been appointed new Chair after the departure of former Chair Mel Blondell. Rees has been on the board of Access 2 Place for the past two years and has experience in the disability sector, including as a Manager at the NDIS and as a Director at the Department of Social Services.

Michael Osborn and Nicole Willing will also be joining the Access 2 Place board. Osborn brings 30 years’ experience in town planning and property development, while Willing has worked across the non-for-profit housing sector.

Australian electronic invoicing company Link4 has appointed Rob Whiter as Senior Business Development Manager.

Whiter joined the company on October 16, 2023 after completing his role as Account Manager for South Australia and Western Australia at LMBH Group.

Whiter has worked in the “business-to-business” technology sector for the past 30 years, with a focus on sales and business development.

New Chair at JamFactory as it celebrates 50 years.

South Australian Minister for the Arts, the Honourable Andrea Michaels MP, has announced that appointment of former government minister John Hill as the new Chair of JamFactory, taking effect from 24 November 2023.

Hill served in the South Australian Parliament as the Member for Kaurna from 1997 to 2014, holding Ministerial portfolios in Environment, Health and the Arts.

Hill is currently the Deputy Chancellor of the University of South Australia and is a former Chair of the SA Film Corporation Board and the SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Board.

Graham Ascough

New Executive Chairman at PNX Metals

PNX Metals Limited has appointed Graham Ascough to its board as Executive Chairman, following the decision by current Managing Director and CEO James Fox to transition to a part-time role.

Ascough will focus on developing programs within PNX Metal’s 1,500km2 Pine Creel tenure, which includes the recently discovered C6 high-grade gold prospect and Thunderball uranium deposit. He will also concentrate on the Hayes Creek zinc-gold-silver and Fountain Head gold projects.

Fox will remain on the board as technical Director.

Spacetalk Ltd. has announced that its Non-Executive Director Saurabh Jain is retiring from office with immediate effect.

He did not stand for re-election at the Annual General Meeting held on November 16.

Spacetalk Ltd. is an Australian software services and smartwatch product developer.

Ben Noack has joined DW Fox Tucker Lawyers, which is located on King William Street.

Noack has two decades experience in engineering, including nearly a decade as a consulting structural engineer at Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec.

In his new role, Noack will advise the firm’s property, construction, mining, energy, public administration, not-for-profit, and advanced manufacturing clients.

Wine greats honoured

Di Davidson AM and Bruce Tyrell Am have been honoured as Life Members of the Australian Wine Industry at the annual general meeting, held at the National Wine Centre on November 14.

Davison has 45 years’ experience in the wine industry and was the founder of Davidson Viticulture, which provided consulting and management services to table and wine producers in Australia and internationally.

She also served on the Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation for nine years.

Tyrell joined the Tyrrell’s Wines family business in 1974 and was recognised with an Order of Australia medal in 2006 for his contribution to the wine industry.

In 2009, he was also named a Hunter Valley Living Legend at the Hunter Valley Wine Industry Awards.
