‘You can’t hide forever’: Police warn hunted gunman
SA Police say a man accused of shooting his wife dead in Adelaide before heading bush three days ago will have to surface eventually for food or fuel, and urged him to “hand yourself in peacefully”.

A statewide manhunt was launched for Kevin Jewell, 55, on Tuesday night after police found the body of Jodie Jewell in their Modbury North house following a welfare check.
Police believe Kevin Jewell shot his 55-year-old estranged wife at around 6pm Tuesday before heading north in his white Mitsubishi Triton utility, last seen near Port Wakefield at 7.30pm.

The experienced hunter and camper is believed armed with a rifle and ammunition and is considered dangerous. An arrest warrant for murder was issued on Wednesday.
This morning, police again appealed for Jewell to give himself up.
“You can’t hide forever,” Detective Senior Sergeant Justin Thompson said on ABC Radio Adelaide.
“Basically at some stage he will need fuel, he will need food. There will come a time that he will surface.”
Thompson appealed for Jewell to “hand yourself in peacefully”.
“The tragic events that happened on Tuesday night unfortunately can’t be changed,” he said.
