The first incident occurred shortly after 5pm on Thursday in Renmark West.

Police said they were called to Ral Ral Avenue after reports of a crash between a motorcycle and a Toyota HiLux.

The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old man from Berri, died at the scene. The driver was not injured.

The second incident occurred just after 5.30pm on the Sturt Highway near Blanchetown, involving three cars and a truck.

A Somerton Park man driving a sedan died at the scene.

A 26-year-old woman from Swan Reach driving a car was taken to Angaston Hospital with minor injuries, while a 27-year old man from West Croydon driving the third car was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The truck driver was unharmed.

The Sturt Highway has since reopened to traffic.

The two deaths take the state’s road toll this year to 52, compared to 31 at the same point last year.
