Police and emergency services were called to Main North Road at around 10.30pm Tuesday night.

The 27-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured.

The intersection of Main North Road, Saints Road and The Grove Way was closed while Major Crash Investigators attended the scene but has been reopened.

The state road toll is now 45 compared with 21 at the same time last year.
