Fire crews were called to the Emerald Street house at about 5am and found one room engulfed by flames and the rest filled with heavy smoke.

SA Police chief inspector Kieran Baggoley said that the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes.

Fire crews then found two bodies, believed to be family members.

“We are not ruling out anyone else being involved because we are so early in the investigation. However, we are focused solely at this stage on the two occupants within the address,” Baggoley said.

The fire caused about $100,000 damage to the house.
