Third death after mid-north car crash
A man seriously injured when a car hit a tree at Lochiel, killing two teenagers, has died in hospital.

Emergency services were called to the Augusta Highway at 7:30pm on Tuesday December 27 after a car travelling north left the road and crashed into a tree.
The 19-year-old male driver and a a 17-year-old girl, both from Port Pirie, died at the scene.
A 46-year-old Port Pirie man was flown to Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries but police said today that he died on January 1.
His death takes the state’s 2022 road toll to 71 compared with 99 in 2021.
