Detectives attended a Park Holme address at around 11pm last night and arrested a 44-year-old Ascot Park man in connection with the fatal shooting of a 41-year-old man on Dunorlan Street in Edwardstown on Sunday night.

Police said the two men were known to each other.

The Ascot Park man is expected to be charged with murder later this morning, police said, and will appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Detectives have also released CCTV footage of three vehicles driving east on Dunorlan Road towards South Road around the time of the shooting.

The footage appears to show two white hatchbacks or sedans and a third white SUV travelling along the road.

“Investigators are seeking to identify those vehicles and their drivers as they believe they may have important information that could assist the investigation,” SA Police said in a statement this morning.

“Those drivers potentially saw the victim, a man riding a pushbike and possibly a third person in the street.”

Police are still seeking information and dashcam footage from anyone who was on Dunorlan Road between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Sunday.

Detectives on Monday seized a white Toyota Camry believed to be connected to the victim for forensic examination.

The victim was rushed to Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition on Sunday night after he was found slumped in the street.

The 41-year-old man died soon after.

Detective Inspector Mark McEachern said police were dedicating “significant resources” to the investigation.

“It is unusual … for Adelaide for someone to be shot in a suburban street on a Sunday evening – certainly of great concern to us and the community and something we want to get on top of very early,” he told reporters on Monday.
