SA Police announced on Sunday that a 53-year-old Walkerville man and a 44-year-old Seaford Meadows man have been remanded in custody over the alleged offences, which involved a “series of break-ins at rural businesses and sporting clubs”.

The men were arrested on September 15 and will face the Adelaide Magistrates Court on April 3.

Police said they will allege the duo stole thousands of dollars from 25 businesses and clubs, committing 68 break-in related offences in total.

The alleged crimes, according to police, occurred in regional towns across South Australia including Berri, Keith, Tintinara, Kapunda, Tanunda, Normanville, Yankalilla, Ardrossan, Warooka, Edithburgh, Orroroo, Jamestown and Gladstone.

Police said the break-ins have been under investigation by Yorke Mid North Police and Crime Investigation Branch detectives since July 17.

Meanwhile, police have arrested another man in a separate robbery at a service station in Noarlunga Centre on Sunday.

Police will allege the man, a 31-year-old from Noarlunga Downs, entered the service station on Alexander Kelly Drive, Noarlunga Centre, with a knife and stole cash and cigarettes shortly before 5pm on Sunday.

The attendant at the service station was not injured during the robbery, police said.

The man will face court today.
