The children aged from two months to nine years were taken from a home in Adelaide’s northeast on Wednesday, police say.

A 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were charged with numerous counts of neglect and failure to provide.

The man will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Thursday while the woman will appear in court at a later date.

The children have been taken into the care of the Department of Child Protection.
