New chair at a peak botanic gardens body

The Director of South Australia’s Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium, Michael Harvey, has been elected as the Chair of the Council of Heads of Australian Botanic Gardens (CHABG).

Before joining the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium SA, Harvey was Assistant Director/CEO of the Australian National Maritime Museum and Head of Exhibitions and Creative Services at the Australian Museum.

He has also worked at the Natural History Museum in London and Questacon in Canberra, among other roles.

CHABG is made up of leaders of Australia’s major botanic gardens and is dedicated to supporting the protection, conservation and enhancement of Australian plants and their ecosystems.

Cool move

Eddie Lane has been promoted to the Managing Director role at industrial refrigeration contractor Cold Logic.

Lane has worked at Cold Logic for close to 10 years and previously held the roles of Partner and Sales & Marketing Manager.

He is also an Advisory Council Member of the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group).

Before joining Cold Logic, Lane was Director/SA State Manager of integra Water Treatment Solution, Sales & Marketing Manager at Empire Liquor and Assistant Manager at Baily & Baily Liquor Stores.

A new communications manager at COTA SA

The Council on the Ageing (COTA) SA has appointed Natalie Ciccocioppo as its Communications Manager.

Ciccocioppo is an experienced communications professional with 20 years of experience in the not-for-profit, public, and private sectors.

Ciccocioppo recently worked as a Communications Adviser at the global agriculture business Viterra. Before this, she worked for five years as a Media and Communications Advisor for disability service provider Cara.

She has also worked in communication roles at the City of Playford, Advantage SA (now Brand SA), the State Theatre Company, Events SA, and Hughes Public Relations, where she was a consultant for clients such as Anglicare and Meals on Wheels.

A new CFO at Solstice Media

Edward Cottle has joined Solstice Media as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Cottle has extensive experience in finance and prior to joining Solstice, he was Head of Finance at cyber security company Ensurance and a Finance Business Partner at loveholidays in London.

Before moving to London, Cottle was a Manager at William Buck and an Interim Financial Controller at Consilium Technology (now Aurizn).

Kain Lawyers expands

Transaction specialists Kain Lawyers has appointed three experienced directors, including Brendan Ivers for Adelaide.

Ivers is currently based in the Greater Melbourne Area and was previously a partner at commercial and corporate law firm Hamilton Locke.

Kain Lawyers said that the new additions to their team will strengthen the firm’s national transactions capability and enhance its ability to meet the needs of private equity, venture capital, private credit, and property and real asset fund managers.

Experienced accountant joins social services organisation for underprivileged kids

KickStart for Kids has welcomed Louisa Andreucci as a new board member.

Andreucci has 10 years of experience advising individual and small-to-medium business clients on managing their income tax affairs, GST and preparing their finance statements.

Andreucci is currently a Director in Accounting & Business Advisory at Hood Sweeney.

KickStart for Kids is a South Australian organisation that provides a breakfast and lunch program for underprivileged children in South Australia.

Finlaysons expands its property team

Lisa Harrington

Finlaysons Lawyers has expanded its property team with the addition of Lisa Harrington to the Partnership.

Harrington is an experienced property lawyer, a member of the Urban Development Institute of South Australia and serves on the Planning Committee.

Also joining Harrington is Kate Lewis as Special Counsel, Nicola Fortune as a conveyancer and Isabel Palmer as a law clerk.
