Keren Faulkner

SASI welcomes new Director

Keren Faulkner has been welcomed as the new Director at the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI), as announced by Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing Katrine Hildyard.

Faulkner has been at the SASI for the past two years, where she has served as the Performance Services Manager.

Prior to this she was Head of Performance Solutions and Manager Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement for the para-cycling program at AusCycling and Sports Science and Medicine Coordinator for the para-cycling program at Cycling Australia.

She has also worked as Manager of Performance Services at Paralympics Australia, as well as Manager of Physical Therapies for the 2012 London Paralympic games. She was Manager of Physical Therapies at the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney, a Senior Sports Physiotherapist at the Australian Institute of Sports and a Sports Physiotherapist at Gymnastics Australia.

Martin Radcliffe

A new CEO for Adelaide’s biggest venues

Martin Radcliffe has been appointed to the position of CEO at Adelaide Venue Management (AVM).

Radcliffe has been the Adelaide Convention Centre’s General Manager since May 2022 and has been acting CEO of AVM since August 2023.

Radcliffe is also Chairperson of the Board of Adelaide Hills Tourism and previously has served as Principal at A Way With Worlds Business Services, General Manager at Mayfair Hotel & Adabco Boutique Hotel and Director of Sales and Marketing at Business Events Adelaide, among other roles.

AVM is responsible for operating the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Coopers Stadium and the Drive.

 

Jessica Alice

Writers SA farewells CEO

Writers SA has farewelled their CEO Jessica Alice after five years of leadership.

Alice joined Writers SA as CEO in July 2018 and will continue in the role until February 7, 2024. She is currently also Chair of the Arts Industry Council of South Australia and the National Young Writers Festival.

Alice has had a varied career which includes being the Program Manager of Melbourne Writers Festival, Marketing & Publicity Manager at Regional Arts Victoria, a radio producer/presenter at 3CR Community Radio in Melbourne and Poetry Editor at Voiceworks, among other roles.

Writers SA, which describes itself as “the state’s peak organisation for writing and literature”, has begun the search for a new CEO to be appointed in the new year.

Police officer elected Director of Police Credit Union Board

The Police Credit Union has announced the election of Inspector Kevin Lawton to the position of Director on its Board.

Lawson has held in numerous roles at South Australia Police (SAPOL) over the past 37 years in both metropolitan and regional postings, as well as being a police prosecutor.

He most recent postings in SAPOL include the roles of Communications Shift Manager, Planning & Audit Inspector, Operations Manager of Forensic Services in the Forensic Services Branch, Operations Senior Sergeant, District Duty Officer and Intelligence Coordinator.

Promotions and a resignation at Otto Energy

Otto Energy Limited has announced the resignation of Sergio Castro as its Chief Financial Officer, with current Group Financial Controller Julie Dunmore taking over the role.

Dunmore has been with Otto since 2008 and has over 20 years of experience in financial management accounting, primarily within the oil and gas industry.

She is a Chartered Accountant, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Otto has also announced the promotion of Phil Trajanovich to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. Trajanovich has been at Otto since 2016 in various positions.

Otto Energy Limited is an Adelaide-based oil and gas exploration and production company with a regional focus on the Gulf of Mexico.

Wayne Chao

New Board for Chinatown

Chinatown Adelaide of South Australia Inc. (CASA) has welcomed its new committee for 2024-25.

Wayne Chao will be the new President of CASA. Chao is currently the Director at Today Adelaide Media and before this worked as Business Development Manager of Optus Business, Managing Director at I AGE MEDIA and Director of Business Development at Harbour Bottling.

Long Chen, Linlin Yu and Ye Yang will serve as Vice Presidents, Jingjing Hang will take on the role of Secretary, Yidan Wang as Treasury, while Jiaqi Wang, Xuerong Bu, Yiming Yin and Jing Mao have joined as Committee Members.

Conservation Council SA announces leadership changes

The Conservation Council of South Australia has announced that Craig Wilkins has stepped down as Chief Executive after 10 years in the role.

Kirsty Bevan, who is currently Chief Executive of the Nature Conservation Society of SA (NCSSA) will step in as interim Chief Executive at the Conservation Council while continuing in her position at NCSSA.

Additionally, David Bacon was voted in as the new President of the Conservation Council Board at their 2023 AGM after serving as Vice President for the past two years.

The Conservation Council SA is an independent, non-for-profit organisation that bills itself as “the voice for the environment in SA.”

Amanda Stenson

Without PEER

South Australian trade school PEER has announced the addition of Amanda Stenson as General Manager People & Culture.

Prior to joining PEER, Stenson worked for nearly 15 years at RAA, where she held the positions of Organisation Development Consultant, Senior Manager Organisation Capability and Senior Manger Organisation Development.

Peer is located on Port Road in Albert Park and offers apprenticeships, employment and training to those seeking industry-based careers.
