Sascha Detmold Cox has been appointed to the position of CEO at Detmold Group.

Cox has more than three decades of experience in Detmold Group, including as the CEO of Detmold Medical.

She has served as the director of Business SA for the past four years and as its Chair since March.

Detmold Group is an Adelaide-based company supplying sustainable paper and board packaging to customers such as McDonalds and Subway.

Parallax promotions

Parallax Design has promoted Amanda Eve to the role of Strategy Director and Kellie Campbell-Illingworth to Creative Director.

Eve joined Parallax in 2016 as a graphic designer and later became involved in copywriting and brand strategy.

Campbell started out as a Junior Designer before becoming a Senior Designer and then Partner. She was the first full-time employee at Parallax.

Parallax founder Matt Remphrey will assume the role of Executive Creative Director.

Vinehealth Australia

Dianne Davidson AM, Iain Jones and Krysteen McElroy have been appointed to the board of Vinehealth Australia.

Davidson is an agricultural scientist and an experienced horticulturist, specialising in winegrape production and soil and water management.

She is a vineyard owner and was the founder of Davidson Viticulture, which provided consulting and management services for 26 years in Australia and internationally.

In 2015, Davidson was appointed a member of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of her services to the winemaking industries and to higher education administration.

Jones is currently the Head of Research and Development, Quality and Compliance at Treasury Wines Estate (TWE).

He is responsible for leading TWE’s Science and Technology Strategy and has more than 23 years of experience in the wine industry.

McElroy is a Dispute Resolution Consultant at Critical Moments.

She is a Managing Partner in The McElroy Family Trust, which is an agricultural business.

She is also a member of various boards, with experience in broadacre agriculture, viticulture and rural communities.

VineHealth Australia is the South Australian statutory body charged with safeguarding the State’s vines from pests and diseases.

Benjamin Pitman

Benjamin Pitman has been appointed to the role of Senior Associate at Studio Nine Architects, based in Kent Town.

Pitman has over two decades of experience as an architect, including as an Associate and Associate Director at Jackson Clements Burrows Architects, a Design Architect at BVN Architecture, a Director at PARABOLICA and a Senior Associate at Studio Nine Architects.

The Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) has announced the addition of Dr Lauren Giorgio, James Black and Nikki Hamdorf to its Advisory Committee.

Giorgio is currently the COO of GPN Vaccines, Black is CEO of Perks Accountants and Wealth Advisors and Hamdorf is the Development Director at JamFactory.

OzAsia Festival has announced that Annette Shun Wah is stepping down from her role as Artistic Director.

Shun Wah is an actress, writer, director and broadcaster. She is currently a Board Member of the Sydney Theatre Company and Deputy Chair of the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia.

Shun Wah will continue to be involved with OzAsia in a consultant role.

OzAsia has also announced that Joon-Yee Kwok will be assuming a new role as Artistic and Executive Producer.

Kwok is an independent creative producer and experience designer. She is also a lecturer in Creative Production, Entertainment and Arts Management at the Queensland University of Technology.

Rachel Burton

Growing field

Plant-based technology company Vircura has appointed Professor Rachel Burton as its Chief Scientific Officer.

Burton is a plant scientist and molecular biologist and previously held the position of the Head of the Department of Food Science at the University of Adelaide.

She has a focus on plant cell walls and developing novel crop options for modern agriculture including hemp, agave, sorghum, Plantago (psyllium) and chia.

Vircura is a sister company to advanced stadium lighting manufacturer VAILO.

Michael Bromley

Michael Bromley has been appointed to the Siblings Australia board.

Bromley is the former CEO of Stone Chalk and AustCyber and currently serves as the Non-Executive-Director of Brainmates.

Siblings Australia is an organisation that supports the siblings of people with disabilities.
