Rundle Street dessert café San Churro has re-opened, eschewing the exodus of chocolate shops from the East End in 2018 – but its new owners say a 20-storey apartment tower, to be constructed next-door in the New Year, poses an existential threat.
Steven ter Horst, the last remaining chocolatier on Rundle Street, will follow Cocolat, Max Brenner and San Churro out the East End’s proverbial door, InDaily can reveal.

The Max Brenner chocolate bar on Rundle Street will close for good at 5pm today following a national store-by-store review by the Australian business’s recently appointed voluntary administrators.
