
Making ends meet in a no Show year
Adelaide Showground general manager Michelle Hocking would normally spend this week madly putting the finishing touches on the state’s biggest 10-day event, which was due to begin Friday. But with this year’s Royal Adelaide Show just the fifth in its 181-year history to be cancelled, Hocking is instead left to ponder how she will fill the $10 million hole the coronavirus pandemic has left in the organisation’s budget.
