Fyfe open to free agency options

Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe will consider free agency as his AFL contract with Fremantle expires next season.

The Dockers have struggled in the absence of an injured Fyfe this season, slipping to 16th on the ladder after playing in last year’s preliminary final.
Fyfe wants to see a plan for an improvement at the club before he commits his future there.
“Free agency is that players have a say in their careers and it would be remiss of me not to look at every possible option,” Fyfe told Seven News.

“But if I see a strong future at Fremantle then that’s where I will be playing my footy.”
The 24-year-old has started light running after having pins removed from his lower leg last after he broke it in Fremantle’s round-five loss to Carlton in April.
He is hoping to return to full training this week, however doubts will continue to linger over his long-term fitness given he has already undergone 14 surgeries throughout his career.
