The Dockers have struggled in the absence of an injured Fyfe this season, slipping to 16th on the ladder after playing in last year’s preliminary final.
Fyfe wants to see a plan for an improvement at the club before he commits his future there.
“Free agency is that players have a say in their careers and it would be remiss of me not to look at every possible option,” Fyfe told Seven News.
“But if I see a strong future at Fremantle then that’s where I will be playing my footy.”
The 24-year-old has started light running after having pins removed from his lower leg last after he broke it in Fremantle’s round-five loss to Carlton in April.
He is hoping to return to full training this week, however doubts will continue to linger over his long-term fitness given he has already undergone 14 surgeries throughout his career.
