AFL and SANFL wrap

May 12, 2014

Port Adelaide finished round eight on top, GWS bumped into reality and a full forward has bagged 11.

West Coast forward Josh Kennedy booted a career-high 11 goals to lead West Coast to a crushing 111-point AFL win over Greater Western Sydney at Patersons Stadium yesterday.

Kennedy was unstoppable throughout the match, with the key forward kicking five goals in the opening half before booting a further six after the main break.

But the 30.8 (188) to 12.5 (77) win could come at a cost, with forward Mark LeCras reported for a high bump.

Round eight continues tonight when Carlton play St Kilda.
