South Adelaide’s good run in the SANFL continued on the weekend, but at a cost.

The undefeated Panthers have lost defender Tarak Redigolo for the rest of the season after he seriously injured his knee against Glenelg on Good Friday.

He will undergo conventional surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

“It is the worst possible news for Tarak,’’ South football manager Neill Sharpe said.

‘”It is very disappointing for him as I don’t think he has missed a game since he played in the 2011 Elimination Final and he played for several weeks during 2012 with a fractured leg so he is a tough character.”

The round saw AFL reserves sides Port Adelaide and Adelaide both register a win, with Port thumping the Eagles off the back of their round two thumping of Glenelg.
