Commenting on the story: Inquiry call amid count complaints as Marshall holds on
We applied for postal votes due to planned travel. They didn’t arrive in time, so we pre-poll voted the day before we left.
Returned home this week expecting to find the postal voting forms in our mail, but nothing. Wonder how many were disenfranchised because their postal voting forms did not turn up. Not good enough. – Sue Hoffman
A simple way to speed up the count is treat declaration votes (pre-polls) as they are treated in federal elections.
Have them placed into a ballot box by the voter, have the ballot box held securely and count the votes at the close of polling along with those cast on the day, thus eliminating what is in fact needless double checking. – Sheila Jarmain
Commenting on the opinion piece: Ali Clarke: How I regained the ability to sleep
Great insight, but a demanding job is not necessarily the cause.
As a pensioner I can still wake up, anxious about things not done, or things that might happen or go wrong.I got myself a cat. Watching her as she ‘chills out’, all the time, teaches me to slow down and enjoy just existing.
Life is good when you don’t rush it. – David Inkster
Commenting on the Poem: Willow Springs
Sterling stuff, Thank you Stephanie Russell for taking me back to my visit to Willow Springs in the Flinders. – Jenny Esots
Commenting on the Restaurant review: Vintners
As a local, we have been to Vintners many times over the years. It has always delivered excellence in cuisine and service.
It’s the “Go to” place in the Barossa, especially for a celebration. Brilliantly led on front of house by Rami. Great article, absolute truth. – Patrick Wells
