Commenting on Your views, Monday June 7:

Please don’t redevelop the markets unless you are able to keep the unique earthy old style charm which makes it so attractive to locals and tourists.

The markets are my favourite place to go in Adelaide. – Tracy Clarke

Hope you are not going to ruin the atmosphere of the market. – Pauline Oldham

Hear hear, Julie Craven. I can confirm that many regular interstate visitors, friends of mine, have a ‘must always visit’ the Adelaide Central Market interest, but as is has been, and as it should be returned to.

Unfortunately the Adelaide City Council along with Mr. Maris have already initiated the breakdown/collapse of what is liked so much and revered about that place. Just go and look now and see the long term family businesses that have closed down as unsaleable already and the businesses that are currently unsaleable because of what the future mega development holds.

The new development is pushing the Market into the ‘Me Too Super Twee’ category, with a myriad of cute, polished little coffee houses.

In my view the Adelaide City Council and Mr Maris need a serious smack on the bum for their role in this. – James Scammell

Commenting on Touch Of The Fumbles: Covidball

I, and many other Crow’s fans I know, await Tom Richardson’s A Touch of the Fumbles with anticipation each week in the footy season. You are brilliant Tom. A jewel in South Australia’s crown. Bless you. – Hilary Parsons
