The mental health system is failing those who need it most, people are dying, they are slipping through the cracks in system that is failing them. What will it take ?
People with a mental illness deserve to have the care they need. How many times do you have to present at emergency for a person to get the care they need?
As the mother of a child battling a mental illness, we’re helpless as we watch our daughter slip through the cracks of a system that is not resourced or structured adequately to provide the care she needs. – Name supplied

If we lived in a third world country, I could understand this situation. But we do not. We live in an incredibly wealthy country.
Our government should hang its head in shame. Appalling and disgusting situation for our health system to be in. Mismanagement in all areas in our health system right across the board. – Christine Szmurlo
I believe that after it opened, Noarlunga Hospital ran fully staffed for a year without any patients. I remember the government telling us that it was running very well.
This seemed to be a real-life occurrence of the ‘best run hospital in Britain’ in Yes Minister that treated no patients. – Oliver Frank
