Commenting on the story: Guardian calls for monitoring power, funding after child protection scandal
These revelations are shocking, it is scandalous that the Minister has not met with the Guardian to discuss this report, and that funding has not been forthcoming for visitation of residential care facilities.
Without funding, the Guardian cannot do the job that she was employed to do. So many vulnerable children are put at further risk while funding is being denied. – Rita Hockley

It’s amazing, (don’t get me wrong, I’m not opposed to this bill) the Attorney-General has no compunction in passing this bill which is providing to end a potential human life, yet she opposes the adult use of cannabis, a substance that has yet to be proven harmful to human life.
If only she would aquaint herself with the literature on the subject, but she refuses. – Mark Eckermann
Commenting on the Fringe review: Borealis
My daughter Rachael and I went to Friday night’s opening and we were both blown away. The colours, the smoke and the reflection over the water were absolutely stunning, I just wish I had a pillow and I would have laid there until the end of the show.
We were both enthralled by the experience and definitely recommend it as part of your Fringe night out and worth the money. Would see this again for sure. – Margie Gill
