Commenting on the story: “A complete lack of respect”: SA Govt’s snub to virus testing offer revealed

I was extremely disappointed to read of the Premier’s off-handed non-response to Clinpath Labs’ request.

I have regular blood tests and have moved from SA Pathology to Clinpath.

I believe they give a wonderful service and those who take the blood samples are among the best.

Commenting on the story: Cash-strapped council puts city projects on ice due to virus impact

Interesting that Milan is preparing for post-COVID by turning 35 kms of road into cycle and pedestrian use, whilst here in Adelaide we economise by delaying the already some concession being made to cyclists.

To quote: ‘“The Milan plan is so important is because it lays out a good playbook for how you can reset your cities now. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a fresh look at your streets and make sure that they are set to achieve the outcomes that we want to achieve: not just moving cars as fast as possible from point A to point B, but making it possible for everyone to get around safely. ‘

But here in Adelaide, the constant prime mover is precisely to get cars as fast as possible from point A to B, whether it be via the horrific South Rd development splitting Adelaide into two, the O-Bahn extension through a park, massive destruction of streets surrounding intersections in the eastern suburbs being prepared right now, with businesses, homes, historic buildings and ancient trees, all to disappear in the face of shaving a few seconds off those times, keeping those cars in motion.
