The appointment of Green as the external chairman of the Adelaide office comes in conjunction with a strategic growth campaign the firm is working to achieve over the next two years.

Green’s long and impressive background in professional services and business coaching is seen as “a logical and positive move for the business.”

“By providing additional value-add services to our current suite of offerings, HLB Mann Judd is excited about the coming years and what we can provide to our existing and potential clients in the marketplace,” says James Hooper, Managing Partner.

Green’s relationship with the company started when he was brought in to perform a review of the business.

“During this process, I interviewed all the partners and managers of the business,” he says.

“I was impressed with their integrity and that they wanted to grow their business in a profitable and sustainable manner.”

He says there are good reasons why HLB Mann Judd is experiencing growth and success.

“Team member turnover is very low and retention strategies are good, partners work closely with the team and are ‘hands-on’, and client retention has also been good resulting from good advice and relationship building.”

In his role as chairman, Green hopes to help the firm take on a more corporate structure, which “will allow development for partners and team members by providing different and exciting career paths and roles”.

“This, in turn, will provide further benefits for clients.”

Green has had a long career in accountancy, management consulting and business coaching, running his own firm for many years before becoming managing partner of Hayes Knight.

He is a past president of the SA division of the professional body CPA and has been a member of the national council.

Green says the full services offered by HLB Mann Judd will be highly sought-after in the local market as business confidence in the state rebounds.

“I believe that business confidence is recovering and that will reflect into the future,” he says.

“Business owners are structuring their operations to allow for sustainable growth. As that belief strengthens, momentum will occur resulting in more productivity and additional jobs.”

HLB Mann Judd is an award-winning chartered accounting firm, with a presence throughout Australia and internationally.
