The final 40 Under 40 list will be announced at a special event at the National Wine Centre on Thursday, June 7. Limited tickets are still available here.

From an initial nomination list of 578, the panel judged 160 applicants, looking at the performance of their organisation, the role they played and also assessing them against a set of criteria which measured their impact on the state and the community, their achievements and their entrepreneurialism.

“The process has uncovered the state’s upcoming group of innovators,” said InDaily editor, David Washington.

“The shortlist includes energetic emerging leaders from many different sectors – people making their way in the law, finance, design, media, technology, mining, fashion and hospitality. When we reveal the finalists next week, readers will find lots of names that are new to them.

“It was pleasing to have so many nominations to choose from. We talk about a lot about the need to retain talented young people in South Australia – it’s encouraging to see the quality of people who do choose to stay here, and to learn about what they are achieving in their home state.”

The final 40 have been chosen by a judging panel including:

Chair, Ashley Hunter, Deloitte
Clinton Jury, Australian Institute of Company Directors
Jen Tan, Piper Alderman
Nicole Underwood, Underwood Executive
Tracey Whiting, Chair, Art Gallery of SA and Solstice Media
Farrin Foster, CityMag
David O’Loughlin, KWP!
Jim Plouffe, The Lead and Solstice Media

The full 40 Under 40 list will be published next Friday in InDaily and profiled in the September issue of CityMag.
