A month ago, InDaily invited readers to support our work.

Since then, we’ve been gratified by donations from hundreds of South Australians who value an independent news alternative. Every dollar donated will go back into journalism (watch out for further news on that coming soon).

Here is what some of you have had to say about why you were willing to support our work.

“I have valued the concise daily headlines and simple to the point commentary over the last few years. I have a personal philosophy of supporting things that are important and helpful.”

“I believe it is essential for our democracy to support independent media, ABC and SBS, to maintain diversity of ownership, public discussion, critical analysis and opinion.”

“Just felt like InDaily is a quality offering and having taken advantage of it being free I was happy to offer some support.”

“As a user of free online news and comment I felt it important to offer some support if those sources were to survive. As a South Australian who is not a Murdoch fan I was keen to assist in a small way an alternative outlet.”

“I hope that the daily journal that I contributed to can continue providing good independent journalism.”

“Need to redress the Murdoch domination of media.”
