The 50-year-old has been charged with four counts of advocating terrorism with allegations he posted videos to social media that encouraged people in overseas conflict zones to commit terrorist acts.
He was arrested while already in custody in Adelaide’s Yatala Jail and when his case came before the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday his identity was concealed.
He is scheduled to return to court on February 7 when a report into his mental health is expected to be considered.
