The Manager Business Resilience, is a newly created role reporting to the Group Executive People, Safety & Environment, responsible for writing and implementing an overall business resilience strategy. This will involve providing leadership and expertise in the delivery of well-informed advice on a broad portfolio that includes facilities and fleet management, business security (physical, cyber and resources), emergency planning and response, business continuity and risk management. Your key focus is to prepare for possible threats to the business, management of these possible events and potentially recovery from such outcomes.

This will involve you influencing across the organisation, leading the design and development of a coordinated Business Resilience Management System and the establishment of an effective Cyber Security capability system to protect information and data. With one direct report and indirect leadership and liaison with various functions across the broader business, you will provide advice to executive leaders and act as the company lead for Government Critical Infrastructure Protection and National Security.

With a relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or relevant discipline and a holder of (or eligibility to obtain) ASIO security clearance, you will have comprehensive experience in managing and delivering commercially focused business resilience solutions within a highly complex environment. You will need a proven track record in leading the development of guidelines and policies and offering solutions to complex technical challenges, coupled with your superior ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders. A naturally proactive person, you will have strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate “current” and “desired future” state. A knowledge of the National Electricity Rules, Transmission Codes and relevant standards is essential, with Professional Security and Resilience qualifications/certifications desirable.
