Five more deaths as COVID cases drop
Five more people have died after testing COVID-positive in South Australia, but the number of new daily cases continues to fall.

The five deaths reported over the past 24 hours include a woman in her 80s, a woman in her 90s, two men in their 70s and a man in his 80s.
There are currently 237 COVID-positive patients in hospital – up from 217 yesterday.
Of those currently in hospital, 11 people are in intensive care, 147 have received three or more vaccine doses, while 86 are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
New daily cases have dropped since last week, when close to 3000 infections were reported on Thursday.
SA Health today reported 2141 new cases – up from yesterday’s figure of just 1910 infections.
Yesterday, 5,439 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is an 13.8 per cent decrease on the previous 24 hours.
Of the test results returned, 1054 PCR tests were positive and 1087 rapid antigen test results were also reported positive.
