State Govt contractor charged after ICAC investigation
A State Government contractor from the South-East will face court next month after an investigation by the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption.
SA Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Bruce Lander.
Commissioner Bruce Lander said today the 61-year-old from OB Flat had been charged with six counts of “wilfully making a statutory declaration, knowing that declaration to be untrue in a material particular”.
“The man was a public officer by virtue of a contractual relationship with a public authority,” Lander said.
It is alleged the offences occurred in the man’s capacity as a public officer, in Mt Gambier between 7 August 2013 and 28 April 2014.
The man has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 5 June.
