Officials charged after ICAC probe

Five South Australian public officials will face court on dishonesty charges after a probe by the state’s corruption watchdog.

The men, aged 44 to 57, have been charged with a combined 31 counts of dishonesty over offences allegedly committed between October 2012 and January 2015.

In a statement, the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption said a 44-year-old man from Parkside, a 44-year-old Pooraka man, a 48-year-old man from Wistow, a 57-year-old Coonamia man and a 52-year-old man from Smithfield had been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on March 29.

Last week, the ICAC announced a 47-year-old Port Victoria woman, employed in public administration, had been charged with 62 counts of aggravated theft.
