An open letter from Nick Reade, Chief Executive BankSA.
At BankSA it’s no surprise that we’re passionate South Australians. As the local bank in South Australia we’re proud to have held a special place in the State for over 166 years. A lot has changed in that time, particularly how our customers want to bank with us, and the kind of service they expect.
So we’ve spent a lot of time listening, and we’re making improvements to the services we provide our customers, South Australian businesses and indeed the State as a whole.
Many of our customers are expecting more convenient ways of banking than via a branch and passbook, so we’re rolling out new technology and tools including Smart ATMs, better mobile banking with fingerprint login, and some other exciting developments we’ll be introducing soon.
When visiting a branch, our customers have said they want more personalised, expert service, so we’ve designed an improved branch experience that we’re bringing to 45 branches across South Australia over the coming months. We’re also opening two new branches to bring the future of in-branch banking to South Australia.
If you run a business, you may be one of many who have told us they’d like more options when they need to get hold of a business expert. So we’re improving our business banking experience, ensuring ready access to experts whether you wish to bank in-branch, over the phone, through our online banking services or via the cutting edge video conferencing technology we’ve installed in 20 branches.
As part of our ongoing commitment to local communities we’re getting even more involved, making sure our State is in great shape for generations. From the ‘Shaping South Australia’ initiative, to youth employment programs, we’ll be playing a part in SA’s future for many years to come.
And one more thing – our customers felt that South Australians enjoy a sense of pride and optimism that isn’t expressed in the current BankSA brand. Many suggested that perhaps our logo and branding no longer reflects what the State expects of us. So we’re changing that too. Today we’d like to introduce you to the new BankSA logo.
We’re absolutely committed to being the bank our customers want and need us to be, and while we’re not done yet, we’re making a great start.
So, let’s do this.
