South East Temptations – Escape to the Cape

Looking for something to do and having some time off this month? Head to the South East for the BankSA-sponsored Cape Jaffa Seafood and Wine Festival 2014 on Sunday, January 12.

BankSA is a major sponsor this year and recognises the part the event plays in promoting this beautiful part of SA.

The 2014 festival promises all the seafood, local produce and wine you could want in a casual, relaxed atmosphere, with live entertainment.

Indulge on Southern Rock lobster and other fruits of the sea. Then there’s wonderful local produce from the land including prime barbecue beef, olives, almonds, jams, honey and cheeses. To compliment this fine food, enjoy an array of quality wines from the Mt Benson and Robe Wine Regions.

Buses to the festival are available from nearby Kingston and the Robe Visitor Information Centre.

So take some time out and enjoy a coastal break with family and friends in this picturesque region and relish an array of scrumptious seafood dishes together with wines from the finest vineyards of the Coonawarra and Penola.

Kingston is a beautiful, relaxed and serene setting and a great spot from where you can explore the Limestone Coast and the best scenic spots that the area has to offer.

As well as great seafood, wine and entertainment, festival organisers have plenty to keep the children entertained.

The festival starts at 10.30am and will be held at King Drive, Cape Jaffa. Entry is $5 and children under 8 are free. For more details visit the festival website http://www.capejaffafest.com.au/
