New wine tour to discover Strathalbyn and Langhorne Creek

Fleurieu Peninsula’s Strath Motel, Wine Diva Tours and Langhorne Creek Wine Association have teamed up to create a new wine tour to showcase a local favourite, and hidden gem, the Langhorne Creek wine region.

Regarded as one of Australia’s oldest wine regions, Langhorne Creek was founded on the Bremer and Angas Rivers’ flood plain, with the first vines planted in the 1860’s at the now heritage listed Bleasdale Winery.

Knowing the strength of the Langhorne Creek wine region, the Strath Motel saw the opportunity to partner with McLaren Vale based Wine Diva Tours and the Langhorne Creek Wine Association to develop a new wine tour.

The new full day wine tour, with Wine Diva Tours, has been developed to entice Strathalbyn visitors to stay longer and explore the stunning neighbouring region of Langhorne Creek.

Beginning from the guest’s accommodation, in the comfort of a Mercedes Viano, the personalised tour can visit up to seven cellar doors with lunch and wine tastings all inclusive, plus private barrel tastings subject to availability of winemakers.

The new Langhorne Creek wine tour partnership is set to showcase the beauty of Langhorne Creek and the history of Strathalbyn while enjoying the outstanding regional food and wine of the Fleurieu Peninsula. With the quality accommodation and exceptional service of the Strath Motel plus the knowledge and experience of Wine Diva Tours’ owners Greg and Dee Linton, it is a match made in wine heaven.
