Day Dance 2020 — February 29

Day Dance is the summer winery and picnic party hosted by Lloyd Brothers Wine & Olive Company at McLaren Vale. Gates open at midday, with live music until 4.30pm, before DJs will play party tunes until sunset. There will be a pop-up gin bar from Never Never Distilling Co, food from Chimichurri Grill and Fahrenheit Catering. Lloyd Brothers Wines and craft beers will be available. Tickets are $40, with an additional $25 for return-CBD transport.

Indian Mela 2020 — February 28 to 29

To be held in Victoria Square, the Indian Mela is an annual showcase of Indian art, culture and food. There will be various food and exhibition stalls, children’s rides, cultural performances, plays, art displays and on-ground workshops. Entry is free.

Last Day of Summer — February 29

Hosted at the historic Kuitpo Hall, Last Day of Summer is a chance to send off the season with a party hosted by the Kuitpo Kollective from 3pm to 10pm. There will be food from Udaberri and Wood Fired Pizza Co, wines by Kuitpo wine makers and beer by Kuitpo Brewing, with music by DJ Ryley. The event sold out last year, so be quick to secure your $20 ticket.

The Chef & The Shucker – February 28

South Australian chef Simon Bryant joins oyster king Jerry Fraser at Signature Wines in Norwood for an evening of wines and oysters, from 5.30pm. Signature Wines recommends booking a table so as not to miss out on The Chef & The Shucker.

Leap Year Dinner at The Lane – February 29

The Lane vineyard toasts the leap year with a tasting of The Lane’s new, never before seen, ultra-premium wines. Two vinous treasures showcase the best of the estate and the true talents of the winemaking team. Tickets are from $225.

Grapes of Mirth — March 1

Hosted by Merrick Watts at Howard Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, Grapes of Mirth sees five great Australian comedians serve up six hours of comedy, with music, wine, gourmet grub, and a festival vibe. The grounds at Howards will be set up with areas to accommodate BYO picnic blankets, rugs and foldable chairs. Buses to and from the CBD will be available to book.

Never Never Ramos Gin Fizz Party – March 5

Hosted by Nola, in collaboration with Never Never Distilling Co, the Ramos Gin Fizz Party party kicks off at 6pm with a bartending competition from 7pm to see which bartender can make the best Ramos Gin Fizz in five minutes. Legendary Adelaide guitarist Cal Williams Jr will provide tunes with his blues band Gray Moose from 8pm.

WOMADelaide – March 6 to 9

WOMADelaide is as renowned for its food offerings almost as much as the music, with an incredibly diverse selection of international cuisines prepared by some of Australia’s finest food vendors. Experience food choices above and beyond the standard festival fare, with dishes that draw inspiration from The Barossa to Bangalore.
