Fork on the Road November 18

Fork on the Road will celebrate its fourth birthday this Friday with a street food party in Light Square featuring around 30 mobile food vendors plus more than 20 craft breweries, wineries and cider producers. Fork founder Joe Noone says he’s excited to be celebrating the milestone of what started out as a “crazy idea to try my little bit of making a difference”. “I had no idea how well the first one would work, let alone envisage it growing to over 45 events attended by more than 150,000 people.” The birthday event will run from 5pm to 10pm.

Young Gun of Wine: Uncut November 19

The Young Gun of Wine awards are coming to Adelaide this weekend with Uncut, “an up-close and unfiltered look at the freshest wines and winemaking in Australia” held as part of its search to find the country’s most innovative emerging winemakers. Organisers say a CBD warehouse space (230 Flinders Street) will be transformed into a “sensory wonderland” for the event, with a three-hour tasting featuring around 60 wines from 40 winemakers, and food by The Henry Austin available for purchase. It will run from 7pm to 10pm. Tickets are $55 per person.
