Luke Whearty is a bartender of international acclaim.
He made a name for himself in Singapore – where he had a hand in venues like Tipping Club and Operation Dagger – as well as South Africa. But if anything, these experiences showed him just how lucky we are in Australia, where our access to fresh produce is unparalleled and often taken for granted.
So, he and wife Aki Nishikura recently returned to Melbourne, to open “a bar that is uniquely Australian where the local environment informs the drinks.”
