Sting & Paul Simon double act for Adelaide

Jun 30, 2014

Music legends Sting and Paul Simon will perform together in Adelaide next February as part of a joint national tour.

Titled On Stage Together, the double-bill concerts originated after the old friends performed together for the first time at a benefit in New York last year. They then went on to tour North America, garnering impressive reviews.

The Australian tour begins on February 3 in Brisbane and comes to Adelaide on February 8, when Sting, 62, and Simon, 72, will play at Coopers Brewery.

“As exemplified on their North American tour earlier this year, the concerts in Australia and New Zealand will feature two of music’s most iconic singer/songwriters blending their voices and their bands while performing their best-known songs both together and apart,” said promoters Live Nation Entertainment.

The pair have been good friends for decades and lived in the same New York apartment block for more than 20 years.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on July 7 at 10am, with pre-sale tickets available from July 3.

All tour dates:

February 3 – Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
February 7 – Mount Duneed Estate, Geelong
February 8 – Coopers Brewery, Adelaide
February 10 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
February 14 – Hope Estate Winery, Hunter Valley
February 16 – Qantas Credit Union Arena, Sydney
