Words Without Music

Join some of the world’s biggest songwriters and musicians of the 1970s, 80s, 90s and today for a discussion about the words behind their music.

Seventies superstar and Grammy-award winner Leo Sayer and guitarist Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet will appear at Words Without Music as part of next month’s Word Adelaide Festival.

They will be joined by bassist Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd, Icehouse) and singer Taasha Coates from ARIA award-winning band The Audreys for an entertaining and insightful evening of conversation between songwriters who have sold millions of records.

Words Without Music is a backstage pass to the creative process behind making a hit song, where those who have defined generations will share opinions and stories.

You, the audience, can join in the conversation via purpose-designed software allowing you to ask questions and help shape the direction of the show.

Words Without Music is part of Word Adelaide – a new festival celebrating the power of words and featuring a series of events across the city.

Words Without Music will be held at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Sunday, August 18.
