The lack of a coach hasn’t stopped South Australian cricketers Callum Ferguson and Adam Zampa re-signing with the Redbacks.

While both Ferguson and Zampa will continue their Big Bash League careers in Melbourne, the duo have inked new deals to remain with the Redbacks in other formats.

SA are currently hunting for a new coach to replace Darren Berry, who departed earlier this month in a mutual split with the SA Cricket Association.

Leg-spinner Zampa has recommitted to SA for another two seasons and Ferguson has re-signed until the end of the 2017-18 season.

The Rednecks have also upgraded batsmen Alex Ross and Jake Lehmann from the rookie list and awarded local paceman Nick Benton his first Redbacks contract.

“It is fantastic to have Adam and Callum commit to the long-term vision we have for the Redbacks,” said SACA general manager high performance, Tim Nielsen.

“Both players continue to demonstrate a desire to improve and remain on the radar of national selectors after being selected in the Australia A squad along with Travis Head. I have no doubt they will continue to make an impact next summer.”
