When will governments understand that you cannot tax yourself rich? We get a pay increase, then governments tax the people ridiculous amounts.
Fuel, registration service fees etc, a huge amount of payroll tax, land tax and council rates. Good to see that stamp duty has been dropped, ha ha!
Add this to interest rates and you can see why people are suffering badly. Governments need to spend way less and tax much less. – Frank Wauchope.

One unsavoury practice of senior bureaucrats is the embedding of industry representatives (company or peak lobby group employees) in government departments and agencies to ‘assist’ with regulatory decision-making for an industry.
The conflict of interest and potential for corruption is obvious.
A good starting point for evaluation of the Lobbyists Act 2015 might be to request details from all government departments of industry representatives either directly engaged as contractors by departments or embedded within regulatory units of government over the last decade. – Paul McKinnon
