Premier Peter Malinauskas made the announcement this afternoon, less than a day after 258,200 motorsport fans congregated in Victoria Park for the rebooted event.

Williams is scheduled to perform on Sunday, November 26, as the headline act, with tickets to go on sale tomorrow at 2022 prices.

Malinauskas said he was prompted to lure Williams to Adelaide after the British pop singer’s September AFL Grand Final performance in Melbourne.

“I thought to myself, wouldn’t this be good for Adelaide and now we’ve got him,” he said.

“Tickets go on sale tomorrow locked in at the 2022 prices, which is the prices that were in place back at the beginning of the last decade.

“People can rebook before the end of the year at 2022 prices knowing that Robbie Williams is the headline act and they’re going to see just as good a show as on the weekend.”

Williams has a catalogue of hits spanning 20 years, including well-known tracks “Angels”, “Rock DJ”, and “Supreme”.

He said Australia was one of his favourite countries to tour.

“I feel so at home there and hugely appreciate the warm, loving welcome I always receive,” he said.

“I can’t wait to be back in Adelaide to perform at the VALO Adelaide 500 in 2023 and spend some time with my fans.”

This year’s race marked the final appearance of Holden’s on track – five years after production finished at the Elizabeth factory.

The Government says the rebooted race generated almost 60 per cent more revenue than the last Adelaide 500 event, held during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

“To have that dollar figure up over 60 per cent is really crucial,” Malinauskas said.
