Radio ratings: Mix on top, FIVEaa sport sinks
Mix102.3 is dominating the radio ratings in Adelaide, with strong gains across most time slots and demographics, while the Triple M’s sports drive team has overtaken FIVEaa.
The fifth GfK ratings survey for the year, released this morning, shows Mix retained the top ranking overall with a 1.9 percentage point gain. It is followed by FIVEaa and ABC891, with the latter leapfrogging Nova 91.9 into third spot.
In the competitive drive slot (4-7pm) at the pointy end of the AFL season, Triple M gained 3.1 points to 11.6, overtaking FIVEaa, which dropped 0.3 points to 10.5.
Mix led the drive slot with 12.4 points. It also picked up listeners in almost all other time slots and across all age groups, enjoying its greatest gains among those aged 55 to 64.
But the survey is all bad news for Nova 91.6. After being the top Adelaide radio station in the third GfK survey of the year, released in May, then dropping 0.8 percentage points last month, it has fallen another 1.3 points overall.
Nova’s biggest losses were among its target audience of listeners under 40. It fell 1.3 points in the breakfast slot and 1.4 points in drive.
After a continuing slide in recent ratings surveys, ABC891’s Evenings with Peter Goers lost the lead in 7pm-midnight, with 12.0 points (-1.4), compared with FIVEaa’s 13.2 (+0.6) and Mix’s 12.3 (-0.1).
ABC891’s Matt Abraham and David Bevan still rule the breakfast slot, despite a slight fall to 16.3 points.
